⇝ Love is like the sea
Unpredictable. So great, so wide, you can't possibly fathom the entirety of it.
But...The sea is also dark and deep.
You can get lost in it.
Lose faith in what is real and what is not.
Story I never finished:
Natsumi was born to her mother and father, Jade and Comet, on a cold winter night, along with her brother and sister, Temo and Star. A few weeks after she and her siblings were born, Temo and star were taken to their new homes and left Natsumi alone with her parents. Although, being with her parents had its perks, like daily grooming sessions and more company, but it just wasn't satisfying, she needed more. She needed more than the mundane life her parents had lived. But she knew that she wouldn't survive out in the wild, so she stayed with them until she was sent to a new home when she clawed up her parents owner's couch.
Her new home wasn't much better. She was the only cat there and her owners weren't home much, and when they, they didn't pay attention to her. She spent most of her time by the windows in her house, anywhere she could see the trees and forest that surrounded her house. She would sit there for hours hoping for something to happen, something that would give her the excitement she was craving. It had felt like forever when she was laying in the front window watching the trees for anything that would peak her interest. When suddenly she something caught her eye, Movement! Black fur was what it looked like, but the second she looked to where it was, it was gone. She spent the rest of the day watching that same spot, searching for what it was that had escaped her vision the first time. But it didn't come back for the rest of the day, but it didn't detour her, her interest was peaked and she needed to find out what it was.
As she planned in her head how to get outside on the couch next to the door the next day, her human scared her by opening it and she jumped and hissed and swiping at him. She immediately stopped but the damage had been done. She shrunk back as her owner advanced onto her and grabbed her by her scruff, muttering something she couldn't understand, and tossed her outside, She screeched as she landed on her feet, before hissing at him. What she got back she understood too well, "Stay out til he cools down." She hissed one last time before dashing into the bushes to wait until he had gone back inside. She sighed as she laid down as she wondered what she would do now. She was outside, she had never been outside before this and she didn't know where to go. She sighed as she might as well, hop over the fence, since her owner was likely to be outside since it was warm out. It took a couple tries to get on top of the fence post, and when she did, she was amazed of how big everything was! To her sides were houses that looked exactly like hers, and right in front of her were trees as far as she could see. As much as she wanted to investigate the other yards, she needed to find that black furred thing that had caught her attention yesterday and with that she hopped down from the fence post and started to creep through the ferns, keeping her eyes and ears alert for anything that may be food or anything that may attack her!
She had given up creeping a little while into her investigation, since she couldn't hear anything around her, not even birds. She was about to give up when a small rustling made her stop and drop onto her stomach and listen to see where it was coming from. As she waited and listened, she noticed that it was small footsteps followed by larger footsteps, and her eyes widened as she realized alittle too late that they were coming straight towards her! She jumped up just in time for a small gray fuzzy thing to come darting underneath her, she looked behind her and it was gone! And as she looked back in front of her and before she was able to jump out of the way, something big, black and white came crashing into her! She yowled as both her and the black and white thing tumbled a little bit before stopping with her back and her 'attacker' onto of her. Once she blinked a couple times to clear her head, she looked at what had taken her out, what she saw, she was not expecting. It was another cat!
She blinked a couple times to see if what just happened happened. She just stared at the bat on top of her, she could smell that it was a 'he', and almost blushed when she thought that he looked very handsome. Before she frowned as she was hissed and snarled at, "What do you think you're doing, mouse brain! I could've had that!" The cat snarled at her, before frowning, and leaning down and smelling her.
Natsumi didn't know what he was talking about, she didn't know what a 'mouse brain' was, or even a mouse for that matter. She looked at him confused as he rambled on before stopping and leaning down and smelling her, she frozen as to not alarm him. She stared at him wide eyed as the cat jumped off her and swiped with his claws out. She quickly scrambled to her feet and swiped back, looking confused. They both stared at each other before Natsumi asked, "Who are you? And why did you plow me down?"
The cat seemed to ponder her question for a moment, before sitting down and curling his tail around his paws and answering, "I'm Ravenwing, and I was hunting. That mouse was going to be my meal."
Natsumi was confused, she didn't know what a mouse was or what hunting was. But she just smiled sheepishly, before saying, "Sorry, I wasn't trying to mess you up, I was just looking around. I haven't been this far before." She paused before saying hesitantly, "But it is nice to meet you, My name's Natsumi."
Ravenwing stared at her, taking her appearance in. She wasn't bad to look at, but he knew he couldn't make a move on her, since she was, what he thought, a Kittypet. He knew his clan would not accept her, and he knew she might not even want to maybe join his clan but since he knew that they had lost a good amount of warriors and kits, during the winter from Greencough, he had to ask. He knew his leader might not accept the offer, but he still had to ask. He looked at her, for a moment more getting lost in her eyes, before asking, "I'm just wondering, is this you're first time in the forest?"
